As we approach Christmas Ally and Andy have been busy making sure that Purely Cornish continues to support local producers from Cornwall but with an emphasis on being affordable in these financially challenging times.

Cornish Hampers
Purely Cornish Progress
The Farmshop at St Martin-by-Looe has developed significantly since last year. There is now a purpose built display for Grandads fresh vegetables sourced wherever possible from his garden and local garden enthusiasts. We always have an excellent array of what is in season at the moment. Our meat and poultry section now boasts a wonderful selection of really local produce and we have been working with our suppliers to come up with a range of those traditional cheaper cuts and recipes that our mothers used to use! From the beginning of this month we have greatly expanded the available meat in the little deli in the town.

Functions and Events

Functions and Events

This year Purely Cornish expanded into weddings and buffets with, of course, a Cornish flavour. This included a lovely ceremony in the woods complete with teddy bears picnic and running a bar for five days in the entertainments marquee during the Dehwelans festival. Give a call if you have a function planned.

The Chill Out Bar

The Chill Out Bar

Following our training sessions to become Baristas the coffee bar and caf? has become renown in the area for making a superb range real coffee. 'The Chill Out' Bar is available for meetings and societies and on the last Friday of every month we have been holding a music jam night where anybody who fancies coming along with their chosen instrument is welcome, what fun and what amazing talent is out there!

We might not always be able to afford to eat out but with good ingredients we can still eat healthily and well. Ally has been sourcing a growing array of good quality flour for bread and cake making, spices and herbs, goose fat and olive oil, pasta and couscous, sauces and relishes, garlic and pesto plus much much more. With winter approaching the Farmshop now stocks coal, logs, kindling and we are Calor gas agents.

"I am writing to compliment the staff of your shop for the wonderful service I received whilst on holiday. I have worked in retail myself for many years and it is not very often you get staff that make their customers as welcome as the staff in your shop. They offered me samples of some Cornish Lust which I ended up buying." Mrs S Lewis. Telford Shropshire
